How accurate is Aurelo’s translation?

Do listeners need to download an app?

No. Listeners can scan your QR code and follow along in their browser—no app or account required. For regular attendees, the optional Aurelo listener app for iOS and Android saves session history, making it easy to return without scanning the QR code every time. The church operator uses the Aurelo desktop app.

Do we need special equipment?
Use a Mac or Windows computer with the Aurelo desktop app, stable internet and an audio input the computer recognizes. To connect a sound board, you may need a compatible USB audio interface and cables. For a small group, a compatible USB microphone is another option. You can also use your computer’s built-in microphone, but we don’t recommend it because it can pick up room noise and echo. Listeners use their phones and headphones for audio, or read captions.
How many people can listen at once?
Aurelo sets no limit on the number of listeners and charges no per-listener fees—whether one person or thousands join your service. Your plan’s translation usage allowances still apply. Practical capacity depends on your WiFi coverage, network, connection method and listener devices. Test your setup before the service. Listeners can also join through Internet listener access using mobile data.
Can we use our existing PA system?
Yes. Connect a compatible output from your sound board to the computer running Aurelo, using an audio interface and cables as needed. You can send the full master mix, including speech and music. A separate speech feed gives Aurelo a clearer input for sermons and announcements. Check input levels and try your mix before the service.
Do we need church interpretation equipment or headsets?
For browser listening, attendees use their own phones and headphones; dedicated translation receivers are not required. Existing receiver systems do not receive Aurelo directly over WiFi. To reuse one, route the computer’s audio output into a compatible transmitter, directly or through your mixer. Check connections, levels and language routing with your AV team.

Aurelo has a free plan. Paid prices with yearly billing are €49 per month for Basic (10 hours/month), €89 for Pro (20 hours/month), and €199 for Ultra (50 hours/month). With monthly billing, prices are €79, €129 and €249 per month respectively. The pricing cards show the selected billing option and currency; confirm the total and terms at checkout. Allow for any computer, audio interface, cables, headphones or network equipment your church needs.
What about internet connectivity?
The operator computer needs stable internet for AI processing, including when listeners connect over local WiFi. Local delivery uses your church network; Internet listener access lets attendees join through an internet connection, including mobile data. Test the chosen route in your venue before the service.
Can I customize the branding?
Yes. Custom branding is available exclusively on the Enterprise plan, allowing you to add your church’s logo and colors to the listener experience. Contact our sales team to discuss your requirements.
Do you offer church live captions?
Yes. Aurelo provides church live captions alongside audio translation for church. You can display transcription captions in the original language or translated subtitles in the target language—keeping multilingual church services accessible for Deaf/HoH and non-native speakers.
Can we download transcripts after services?
Yes! All Pro and Ultra plans include the ability to download full transcripts and translations after each session. Perfect for creating study materials, sermon notes, or archiving your messages.
Can Aurelo translate worship songs in real-time?
Yes. Aurelo can translate sung lyrics in real time, including when music is part of your master mix. Song translation is less reliable than speech translation, so some lyrics may be missed or translated incorrectly. Try it during rehearsal to see how it works with your worship team and audio mix.
Can I translate into multiple languages at the same time?
Yes. With Internet listener access, Aurelo can translate one service into multiple languages at the same time. Your church chooses the available languages; each listener scans the QR code and selects the one they need. Usage for each additional language is metered only while that language has active listeners. Local WiFi listening continues to carry the primary language.
